"Series of bad decisions"

My appointments during pregnancy all seemed ok apart from a couple of upsets (an upsetting letter regarding a condition and midwives not knowing what medications I could take for coldsores and not knowing what peps was when I was suffering and in pain). As a first pregnancy I wasn't sure how appointments should be but looking back it wasn't a great service - not a lot of faith in the doctors or midwives. Actual labour experience was terrible. Felt forced into induction which led to a very long and painful labour. Was sent home in the night when in extreme pain and was later told this shouldn't have happened when you have been induced. Was given conflicting info on pain relief and was made to feel demanding when asking for epidural after over 30 hours of painful contractions prior to a doctor breaking my waters. Doctors and midwives had a few blunders during labour with drug administering- had to apologise. Was kept away from baby for quite a while then giving conflicting info in regards to feeding him. Did not receive my home visit for 3 days (and needed it!!) due to sending my notes to the wrong team then hospitals not communicating correctly. Have also received an apology for this. In my opinion, the hospital and facilities look amazing but the staff and procedures really let it down - if I am able to comprehend having another child after this experience, it definitely won't be at this hospital.
