I have been there all my life with myself and my dad. We lost my dad 15 yrs ago but the hospital were brill with us . Then when I went in to have my heart valve replaced we explained that I was on the same ward as my dad and having the same op. The staff were so understanding.
I now go for regular check up and the staff on the congenital ward near the children ward are so helpful and explain things so easy they even show me what is what and talk me through my scan pics and egg pics. So I understand it. I can't fact the hospital of staff.
The one going I do want to try and find if I can was when my dad died we had a picture done a comical one of a man in a hospital bed with the nursery round him it was my dad in the pic. I would like to know where it may have gone. He was in ward 34 and his name gary wooding he died March 2000 so the pic may have gone now. I hope not as it would be nice to see it back in the wards.
