About: Glenfield Hospital

I have been there all my life with myself and my dad. We lost my dad 15 yrs ago but the hospital were brill with us . Then when I went in to have my heart valve replaced we explained that I was on the same ward as my dad and having the same op. The staff were so understanding.

I now go for regular check up and the staff on the congenital ward near the children ward are so helpful and explain things so easy they even show me what is what and talk me through my scan pics and egg pics. So I understand it. I can't fact the hospital of staff.

The one going I do want to try and find if I can was when my dad died we had a picture done a comical one of a man in a hospital bed with the nursery round him it was my dad in the pic. I would like to know where it may have gone. He was in ward 34 and his name gary wooding he died March 2000 so the pic may have gone now. I hope not as it would be nice to see it back in the wards.

Response from Glenfield Hospital

Dear Samantha,

Thank you for taking the time to post your comment. We encourage all our staff to provide the very best care for all our patients and so it is always great to hear such good feedback about how you have been treated both in the past and now especially when considering the circumstances. We will forward your query to the photography department (do you know who would have taken the photo and the exact date for their search) but can’t promise anything unfortunately. If you find this information please email it, with your request, to photography@uhl-tr.nhs.uk. Your comments will be passed on to the cardiology department at Glenfield where they will be much appreciated.

Kind regards,
