About: Eddercliffe Centre / The jubilee rehabilitation unit

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with Parkinsons in May of this year and was refered to Jubilee team at Locala, Eddercliffe. The team of Theresa, Vicki, Ruth and Soraya assessed me and set aprogram of physiotherapy, fatigue management and writing skills.

Theresa did the physio with me and gave me exercises do at the centre and at home, this as helped me enormously with the restriction of movement I had down my right hand side.

Vicky worked with on my fatigue management first and I now believe I have it under control. She then gave me coaching in how to get my handwriting back to what it was.

I am now coping with my illness better than before I was introduced to the Jubilee team at Locala, Eddercliffe in Kirklees and its all down to the girls.
