I found the care I received effective and reassuring.Wards are very busy paces but I never felt neglected or ignored. I found sleep quite difficult at times but that was more product of my condition than disruption on the ward. Some family visitors to the beds around me had a very liberal interpretation of the visiting hours and numbers allowed. They often ignored instructions from staff - a small irritation rather than major problem. I was impressed by the dedication and sheer hard work of all levels of staff.Food was acceptable with some tasty and comforting courses that I discovered as I recovered my health. I thought there were definite signs of improvement compared with the hospital food I had a couple of years ago in another place.
All in all a good experience . The discharge process was reasonably quick and efficient and I left full of admiration for those who were helping me regain my health.
"I was treated with care, kindness and efficiency."
