"I was treated with care, kindness and efficiency."

About: St James's University Hospital

I found the care I received effective and reassuring.Wards are very busy paces but I never felt neglected or ignored. I found sleep quite difficult at times but that was more product of my condition than disruption on the ward. Some family visitors to the beds around me had a very liberal interpretation of the visiting hours and numbers allowed. They often ignored instructions from staff - a small irritation rather than major problem. I was impressed by the dedication and sheer hard work of all levels of staff.Food was acceptable with some tasty and comforting courses that I discovered as I recovered my health. I thought there were definite signs of improvement compared with the hospital food I had a couple of years ago in another place.

All in all a good experience . The discharge process was reasonably quick and efficient and I left full of admiration for those who were helping me regain my health.

Dear Phil

Thank you for providing us with such constructive feedback, I am very glad to read that you were happy with your experience overall and you were pleased with the care you received from our staff, in particular that you felt reassured by them. If you can provide me with a ward number I would be happy to pass this on for you.

Once again, thank you for taking the time to write to us.

Kindest regards

Rosie
