Last year I was admitted as an emergency, and diagnosed with a Bilateral Pulmonary Embolism after suffering months of breathing difficulty.
I can honestly say that having been a blood donor for 15 or more years and visiting friends when they were patients at Warwick hospital, it was the first time in my life that I have been unfortunate enough to be a patient myself.
All of the staff; Consultants, Doctors, Nurses, support staff, were superb, and I could not have been taken care of any better.
I was unfortunate enough to have to be re-admitted 2 weeks later due to circumstances (not any fault of the Hospital or excellent care), and my care was again, exceptional.
I have been an Outpatient since my condition requires Anticoagulant control, and I am again humbled by the fantastic 'duty of care' and friendliness that all of the staff carry out in their hectic 'day to day' schedules.
It is only when one has to depend on a Hospital such as Warwick, that you realise the pressures that our NHS is up against, and the total commitment that all of the personnel show to all the people that are in greatest need of it.
I have nothing but praise and admiration for all of the people there.
