"Overall care"

About: Gloucestershire Royal Hospital

I was collected on Friday morning, 25th September 2015 following a TIA (mini stroke). From the moment I got into the ambulance the care and attention I received was wonderful. The reassurance, courtesy and professionalism I encountered from all staff was excellent.

I was very frightened when I had the attack but was hugely reassured the moment I met the paramedic in the ambulance and it only got better as I was taken through a series of scans, tests of all sorts, discussions with junior doctor, consultant etc.

All so reassuring to me. I left the hospital a very much happier man then when I arrived some 6 - 7 hours earlier.

A big thank you to all. XX

I would defy anybody to find a better service anywhere in the world to that which I received at Gloucester Royal Hospital on the 25th.

Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us. We're sorry to hear about your TIA which must have been a very frightening experience, but it is good to hear that you were so well looked after by the staff who cared for you. We will certainly pass your comments on to the staff you have mentioned, including our colleagues in the ambulance service. Best wishes The team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
