"Happy"

I was very nervous about coming in for a routine dilation of the stricture on my esophagus.

I was expecting to wait hours which would simply add to my anxiety.

I was in within 30 minutes.

I had an endoscopy two weeks prior and did not feel a thing so was expecting the same procedure, How wrong I was! It hurt a lot! The only comfort I had was I knew I was in the hands of very experienced and caring people.

I apologise for not knowing the nurses name who kept stroking my head saying 'your doing so well' and I hope I didn't hurt her hand as we were holding hands throughout the procedure.

Unfortunately I had a tear so I was admitted for observation.

I was transferred to Ward 9 for the night and fortunately my sister brought my laptop so I didn't climb the walls! I would just like to say what fantastic staff you have.

To be honest my GP doesn't listen.

Mr Wynne walks in the room and lights it up with such an amazing aura around him. So please pass on my regards as he made me feel safe and to Claire on Ward 9 (day shift 28/29 Sept) She was very professional and a lovely lady.
