"under staffed but so friendly and helpful"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary

I had to take my wife to a&e at 3am on friday and we were treated so well. In a & e the nurse and dr were so friendly and made us feel at ease. Took a while to get any further but we were always talk to by all the staff.

We were moved to a side ward before finally getting up to surgical assessment ward (saw). The staff were great, the drs who eventually did come were so friendly again and relaxed and helped us understand our situation. The Consultant was very friendly and explained what was happening. All the staff from the service assistants to consultants were great. Then my wife was moved to ward 20, where again the were understaffed but the staff were so helpful.

I guess working for the nhs ourselves makes my wife and i slightly more understanding of the pressures on the ward. Even so the staff were great.
