"The crisis team"

About: Whitchurch Hospital (Cardiff)

(as the patient),

I have been suffering with severe anxiety and depression and self harm, I have been trying to help but no one seems to realise how bad things are for me, I try to express myself and no takes me serious, they think I'm fine, Recently things have got worse, I had the police out and the ambulance and they thought it would be a good idea to voluntarily admit myself into whitchurch hospital, for an assessment, so thought why not maybe they could help, maybe I could have a long think about how I want my life to be, so I went for the assessment. Do you know what, I'm very upset and angry at the attitude I was given. I clearly explained why I wanted to admit myself, and apparently it wasn't good enough and they told me basically to "get over it" I was feeling very suicidal and upset, I said I can't be alone with my feelings, I will go home and take pills, but nobody did listen, they sent me home... I felt like my issues werent very important. So I have decided Just give up and not get help as seen as no wants to help me. Very very disappointed in the service! !

Dear Jai27ol

We were concerned to read this feedback and we are also aware that your issues have also been raised through our formal Concerns process. The Health Board will be working with you to find a positive way forward through this process. So it would not feel appropriate to go into more detail on this site at this time.

Best wishes
