I told the nurse I felt terrible: pressure in my head and nose. The nurse did a blood test and gave me some painkillers. The doctor said they could do nothing for me: it was a chronic not acute problem and my GP should be sorting it out. I am a in the process of getting a scan but no appointment yet, and the waiting time is 4 weeks. I was given no advice as to how to manage my pain and discomfort, I wasn't given the results of the blood test (indeed the doctor said they wasn't interested). Basically despite feeling awful (and I still am) I was made to feel I was wasting the doctor's time. I don't think this is acceptable.
