"Good nurse phlebotomy"

About: Hemel Hempstead Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a parent/guardian),

Nurse in paeds clinic took time to find my hard stick baby's vein, knelt on the floor drip dripping it out for 20 mins until enough blood was collected, through her lunch break, and all while the fire alarm (different floor so no evacuation needed but no less loud) was going off - and the baby didn't even cry. She was very nice with him.

Dear bluebadabeebadada,

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your feedback, it means so much to us in the department.

I have passed your kind comments to the nurse at Hemel Hempsted Children's Outpatients and she was delighted that you came away with a positive experience during what could have been a stressful time.

We strive to do our best for the families that come to Children's Outpatients and we welcome any feedback so we can continue to improve and provide an excellent service for the children and families that we look after.

Many thanks again

Alison
