I felt that I should write to yourselves regarding how my son Eddie Shannon was treated at your hospital last Thursday 10th September 2015.
My son was involved in a motorbike accident and was taken via the police (as an amubluance did not come, but that is another matter) to the A & E department at Barnet General.
We were initially seen by a nurse and I can not thank them enough for the way they arranged for x rays, blood tests and scans, they were very professional, polite and caring.
We were then transferred to the paediatrics department where my son was looked after by another nurse, to say that they went over and above their duties in kindness to my son is an understatement.
They were also very professional as was the first nurse, extremely kind and caring not only towards my son but to myself as well as I was very upset and stressed.
I can not thank them enough and would like if someone in your department could thank them personally from me.
My son was later admitted to the Galaxy ward where once again I have not got enough praise for the hospitals nursing staff.
I would like to say thank you once again for the care and attention my son was shown.
Well done Barnet General you have made me have faith in the NHS once again.
