Originally I was under, oncology having been found to have Ca. Prostate, all this went well, appointments on time, and radiotherapy. The staff were so helpful. Following the oncology it was found necessary to have a flexible Sigmoidoscopy, this unit is run like a tight ship and deserves praise all round.
But what has drawn me to contact you is that on the 1st September 2015, I was in the Queens Hospital on another matter when I notice I was suddenly wet down below. I went to the toilet where I found I had a severe rectal bleed, I was scared, and didn't know what to do. I went back into the corridor and saw I was just outside, the CDU unit and went into their reception. ( I must add having cleaned up ) and told the receptionist what was happening. The receptionist immediately told me to sit round a corner so people in the waiting room could not see me.
A nurse came to me, and took over, and calmed me down, explained what was happening and a possible why, ( as I found out later the nurse was spot on) and the receptionist in the mean time had made an appointment for me to come back. Please please thank reception and manly a big thank you to the nurse, who was so kind an professional .
"Thanks to the Staff, and in particular the Nurse."
