About: Dewsbury & District Hospital

Minor opps doctor did not turn up to work.

Receptionist was trying to cancel appointments.

After waiting 45 mins I was seen by a junior/training who was lovely and asked me my health history.

Said they would speak to the Doctor.

15 mins later they came back and said they needed to do an examination and tell the consultant the result. I had already had the examination at my own doctors.

why would I need this again when they had my notes.

This consultant only takes the major not minor opps.

I refused because I would have to come back and go through it all again.

I went back in waiting room and then got called by someone else, not sure who/what their job was.

They said that they always do a examination then decided if needed to come back to minor opps.

What a load of rubbish....and waste of time and resources.

Minor opps is on the same corridor.

All this was due to the doctor not turning up.

what happend to honesty.

I have already waited 6 weeks for that appointment.

I will now be put back on waiting list for 6/8 weeks.

Yet again this hospital disappoints me. The staff were lovely and only doing what they were told.

We would be pleased to arrange for this matter to be investigated if the patient would like to contact us directly with appropriate details.
