"It's near my home."

About: North Manchester General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

It's near my home.

What could be improved

EVERYTHING. I was referred here for tests and both times the samples were lost. I pointed out the shortcomings after the first loss and then couldn't believe it when they happened again. I was spoken to like a child by staff who complained that I didn't have the right form and who initially wouldn't let me fill in the right form even though there was a stack on their desk. The department was difficult to find and was not clearly signposted. I transferred for the same procedure to MRI and the staff have been courteous, kept me informed, and most importantly, not lost any samples.

Anything else?

I felt like the department were not interested in sorting out small problems to make a massive difference. I ended up doing all the to-ing and fro-ing trying to resolve it. Even after submitting a formal complaint in an effort to get it sorted out, the hospital totally missed the point. The lesson learnt is that I will never, ever use this hospital again.
