About: Abingdon Community Hospital

We had the privilege of attending this Hospital with our special needs 30 year old daughter who has a very rare genetic disorder and very complex needs, whilst visiting the area. The admission was for issues with swallowing and epilepsy. She was attended by caring and efficient staff who quickly diagnosed the best available treatment that she required and, over a short period of 2 days, had improved her situation from life threatening to being manageable within our own abilities. We cannot speak highly enough of all personnel involved. All NHS facilities should be run like this. There was a distinct absence of unnecessary bureaucracy and, as a result, our daughter is much improved with the minimum of disruption. Thank you.
