"Wasteful of my time"

About: Weston Park Hospital

I would really like to spend as little time in hospital as possible. Chemotherapy is a necessity but the time (which amounts to hours) spent waiting before and after the treatment is not. What I would ideally like is a time when they are ready to start, for all the processes to follow one after the other without gaps then for any signatures, letters and medicines to be ready at the end.

I know sometimes important, unexpected matters arise but delay should not be routine. I never have the sense the ward staff realise I want to get on with my life not hang around in hospital waiting for no better reason than a shortfall in organization. My time is valuable, please treat me with respect.

Thank you for your feedback. I can appreciate the frustration you must feel when things don't seem to be happening as quickly as you would wish them to and that you feel that there are delays that could be avoidable.

Your comments will be escalated to senior staf but if you wish us to investigate your case, please could you provide more detail to our Patient Services Team who can be contacted on telephone number 0114 271 1976 or by emailing pst@sth.nhs.uk

Kind regards.
