"bladder removed and a ileal conduit peformed"

About: Leicester General Hospital

many thank to my consultant and their team who peformed the op I am now not in pain with the bladder .I am still in post op pain due to the wound opening up. My care was excellent on icu then on hdu.I was then moved to ward 22 where the care was more than excellent. Nurses care was excellent, two nurses got me though a really pain full stay .All the staff was very caring and kind I needed a lot of care to roll and and move as I could not move to to pain .Nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Cant comment on the food as I was not interested in eating but what I saw of the house staff they was very kind and caring. Now I am back home still have opst op pain and daily wound dressing . My stay was a positive one and I would come back to this hospital if I ever need another op .I must say that the op was major all the staff on ward helping me though a painfull time many thanks to all the staff on ward 22
