"Amazing place to give birth."

The maternity unit is a precious under used gem in the NHS. My first birth was in a top London hospital with excellent ratings. My second birth was at Harwich. Giving birth at harwich was comparable to paying privately and far surpassed my London experience. Both births were textbook but the level of care on harwich was amazing. I never had to wait for appointments, I could pop in whenever I had a panic moment before and after birth, I had far more attention and personal support from all the midwives......the list of positives goes on! As an older mum I had concerns about things going wrong and not having Colchester right next door but was kept an eye on so closely there really was mo room for anything to go wrong. Please use this unit. I cannot recommend how wonderful the experience was and how amazing my midwife was. All their colleagues were fantastic too.

It was a special time giving birth at Harwich.
