"unacceptable time delays"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I had a minor lump on their breast so had a biopsy 2. 5 weeks ago. Went back to the clinic this morning where I was informed that I should have had my lymph nodes check at the time but they didn't check them, so I had them checked this morning. They found a questionable lymph node and so took a swab and it will take a week to get the results. I found this very unacceptable because today should have been the final check but if there is a problem with my lymph node then I am now further down the line from having treatment than I should be

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Biker987,

I am sorry you feel this has set you back with your treatment. So we can understand what happened we would need to know your details e.g. your name and date of birth or CHI number. If you would like us to look into this, please contact me on 01563 826222 or email me on eunice.goodwin@aapct.scot.nhs.uk.

Best wishes,
