"Maxillofacial Department"

About: Charles Clifford Dental Hospital

I asked my Doctor to refer me to this department because I had read reviews of maxillofacial departments within an hour's drive of where I live and decided this was my best bet. I certainly wasn't happy with my own local hospital experience. So after visits including ordinary appointments, various scans, an operation and return appointments I can conclude that my treatment here must be equal to that of a private hospital.

Every single person I encountered from cleaners to the consultant were helpful, kind and courteous.

I had a benign tumour removed from the right side of my face near my ear.

I was fully consulted at every level about what was going to happen, how it would happen, if I was happy about what was happening, what choices I had, what I thought etc.

Without exception every single member of staff I dealt with were fantastic. I hope that the dates provided on my review form will mean that staff on those days in the relevant department will be acknowledged.

This hospital should be flagged up as one for others to emulate.

Reception/Nurses/Consultant/ (scan) - Maxillofacial Dept - Thu 4 June 2.45pm.

MRI Scan staff - Sat 27th June 6pm.

Reception/Nurses/Consultant - Maxillofacial Dept - Thu 9 July 4pm.

Pre-Op Clinic - Fri 31st July 2pm.

Pre-op Ward/Theatre Staff/Nurses/Consultant/Consultant's Registrar/All Ward I1 staff - Tue 18th August (overnight stay)

Reception/Nurses/Consultant - Maxillofacial Dept - Thu 27 August 3.15pm.

Is it merely coincidence that every single person I dealt with in all the different departments on each separate occasion were brilliant? I certainly don't think so!

Clearly there is a culture of care, consideration, dedication and going above and beyond because that's exactly how its felt to me.

Thank you for taking the time to provide the Trust with such positive feedback. This will be passed on to the staff concerned as it means such a lot to them in recieving such kind words.

Kind regards.
