(as the patient),

I attended AMU for induction of my second child and was met with fantastic professional, compassionate and hardworking teams. My delivery was in the obstetric unit and overnight stay on the ward and I was lucky enough to have the same midwife for the entire labour and delivery. At all times I was listened to and felt safe and empowered. As a staff member myself I was treated with respect but helped to feel 'normal' and have nothing but praise for the whole unit.

Dear Postdates induction,

Congratulations on the new addition to your family. It sounds like you had a wonderful experience and that is so heart-warming to hear. It makes such a difference if you can get the same midwife while giving birth. (I thought so too). Thank you so much for taking time to let us know about your birth experience at this very important time. I will be delighted to pass this on to the team so they can hear your lovely praise. I wish you, your new baby and the family all the best of health and I hope your baby's sleeping pattern sorts itself nice and quickly.
