"I only found out about my admission ..."

About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I only found out about my admission a few days before the operation and was a bit nervous. All the staff on the Winstanley Ward were fantastic - from the healthcare assistants who kept you in tea and biscuits, to the staff nurses and students. The ladies who served the meals were really pleasant and kept your spirits high. They even made my partner a cup of tea and offered him a sandwich at visiting times!

I have had surgery at both Blackburn and Preston hospitals and Chorley was by far the best experience.

Rachel the student nurse was particularly excellent and she was very attentive and patient.

What could be improved

Nothing - the wards were clean, the staff pleasant and the patients were good company.
