My mother was recently admitted following a fall resulting in a fractured hip, I would like to say a very big thank you to the staff on ward 15 particularly a young staff nurse called Aimee. She, along with all staff my mother came across, shown excellent compassion towards her and made her experience much more relaxing, ensuring that she was always comfortable meaning I went home knowing she was well looked after. Overall the staff on ward 15 were excellent despite obvious staffing shortages, this did not impact the care she received, as all care given was of an extremely high standard. I cannot thank the team enough.

Thank you for posting your comments regarding the care your mother has received whilst an inpatient on Ward 15 at Good Hope Hospital. I am very sorry that she sustained a fractured hip during a fall.

It is lovely to read that throughout her stay, it was felt that your mother was treated with compassion and kindness and that despite staff being very busy, both you and your mother felt she was well cared for.

I will ensure that your feedback is forwarded to Ann-Marie Mason Ward Manager, and to Gail Moore, Matron for Trauma and Orthopaedics who will be delighted to ensure that your comments are communicated to all of the team, but especially Aimee who you mentioned by name.

I do hope that this is acceptable and once again, thank you so much for providing your comments, patient feedback is extremely important to us. I do hope that your mother is continuing to recover well and I extend my best wishes to her, and to all of your family.
