"Care for my dying Mother"

About: Hillingdon Hospital

I write to thank you all, most sincerely, for looking after my Mother during the last few weeks of her life. She died in Room number 4 in the Grange Ward on 16th July 2015.

You have one of the most challenging jobs that exist (and should be paid accordingly, of course!). I visited most days and witnessed staff going “the extra mile” time and time again.

You made my Mother’s death comfortable and peaceful, and that is a great comfort to all family and friends who loved her.

Thank you to the member of staff who broke the news to me, so carefully, and looked after us shortly after.

Response from Hillingdon Hospital

We would like to say thank you for taking the time to write such a heartfelt review about your mother’s care whilst she was an inpatient on Grange. I and the team from Grange Ward send our sympathy to you and your family and friends and we are sorry for your loss.

We aim to provide the best possible care for our patients at all times and we are very pleased that we achieved this for your late mother.

Thank you.
