The initial welcome is through a smoke-filled haze as the entrance is full of smoking visitors and patients - even some bringing their drips with them!
The care provided is very variable, depending very much on the member of staff providing it.
Some staff leave a wrapped sandwich out of reach of 90 year old with difficulty gripping, whilst others unwrap, cut up and even offer to feed if required.
This looks to be an issue of training (or lack of it) for the former category.
Once past the smoke haze, the hospital gives the impression of a light, calm and clean environment.
