Like most people, I was rather nervous having to have a lump removed from my arm last Wednesday at the Day Surgery Unit Russell Hall Hospital.
It was extremely busy in the unit but the nurses were still able to give each patient individual care.
I seem to suffer from 'white coat syndrome ' so of course my blood pressure went mega high when taken! ! They dealt with this in such a professional way and were so kind and reassuring. The operation was performed later in the afternoon and the professional care was just amazing. Nothing was too much for the nursing staff, both in the ward and the operating theatre. Mr Flahn was wonderful too.
This is truly the NHS at its best and I thank you all for the care and kindness given to me during my half day stay with you!
