"Brilliant care"

About: St Richard's Hospital

I admitted myself to A&E after falling and slicing my knee open on a stone whilst out walking with my dogs.

I waited in the waiting room for a fair amount of time before going down to the doctors, however, we must appreciate that there are other more urgent cases than mine going on.

However, I was seen by nurses, doctors, a consultant and the treatment I received was amazing. They soon patched me up and ensured that I had the necessary medication before I went home.

Thank you very much everybody but special thanks has to go to the doctor who was brilliant - great sewing skills too :)

Thank you so much for this comment.

We are delighted that you were so happy with your treatment and trust that your knee continues to heal well.

It is very much appreciated to read of your understanding that the waiting times in A&E reflect the fact that there are usually serious issues being addressed 'behind the scenes'.

We shall make sure the staff in A&E are aware of your appreciation and in particular the doctor who stitched you up.
