had a crisis January 2015 was visited by Crisis at home who were very good.
They arranged for HBT from St Mary's house the following day. Was seen by a condescending and patronising Consultant Psychiatrist who clearly loved the sound of their own voice.
Daily visits arranged then abruptly stopped even though still in crisis.
Was seen by a callous, rude and dismissive OT who clearly felt a similar approach was appropriate to the mentally ill, would do the trick. It didn't.
A lengthy investigation ensued due to our complaint to which we have been assured it has been dealt with. We have been asked to trust a Trust who we don't trust due to the simple fact it does not offer a safe caring environment for those in mental distress as advertised on the tin.
I feel the whole service has deteriorated to a rotting mess of paper pushing politicking bureaucrats at all levels from the receptionists through to and especially the clinical staff, who have bled every last drop of humanity from their veins i feel and embalmed themselves with an apathetic, self loving indifference to the distress of others.
I have no ideas as to how this service can be improved. How can you possibly police the underlying attitude that i feel permeates through the staff that people like me are attention seeking time wasters who up the aunty when discharge is mentioned?
I believe that a condescending, patronising, dismissive arrogance permeates from senior staff through to the staff beneath them.
"Lack of basic human kindness and compassion"
