"Waiting for replacement knee surgery"

Generally speaking my family have been very happy with treatment received on the NHS.

However, I am almost certain that I was informed at my referral in April that the waiting time for knee replacement operations is 6 months (also as stated on the website) and I was obviously somewhat alarmed to discover that the department at this moment in time has only dealt with patients up until November.

Even if I am one of the lucky ones I will have to wait at least another 2 months or more before my operation.

My condition is worsening by the day and I am now almost immobile and having to use a stick.
