"Help at a worrying time"

About: Southampton General Hospital

Having had two frightening episodes of vision loss on holiday in Spain, I was keen to know exactly what had been going on.

Went to Eye Casualty and had great treatment from Consutant there. Referred to TIA clinic and forms for blood tests.

Before getting to TIA clinic 5 days later, vision went again and I was advised by GP to go to A&E.The consultant was fantastic, very reassuring and I had a CT scan that night.

TIA clinic with the doctor was also excellent, carotid dopplers done that morning.

I can't recommend the hospital enough. My sincere thanks to all I have seen.

We were sorry to read of the vision loss you experienced but so pleased that you have been reassured and have received great treatment in each department you have visited.

Thank you very much for taking the time to post your comments and these will be passed on to the staff involved.
