"Thank you for acting so quickly"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital / Urology

(as a relative),

I rang the urology nurse specialists about my mother who had been discharged with a ureteric stent. She was supposed to have this removed by cystoscopy but it got cancelled until next week. My mum has been suffering with lots of symptoms from this.

I rang to query why she had to wait for a cystoscopy when it could be removed by the nurses in a few minutes. Trudy and Deborah agreed and told me they would call back the next day after looking at my mother's notes. Deborah contacted me the next day and arranged to have my mum in a couple of hours later. The stent was removed and most of my mum's symptoms have already resolved.

Just a small action and effort can make such a difference to a patient's life.

Thankyou for acting so quickly
