My stay at The Foscote Hospital recently was for a total hip replacement and from my first appointment to see the consultant the professionalism and friendliness was evident.
The consultant explained fully the options and the procedure to replace the hip and the pre and post-operative expectations and long term outcome.
On my pre-assessment appointment the physio therapist explained and demonstrated fully all pre and post op requirements.
The pre-assessment nurse explained fully the tests and was reassuring with their explanation of the procedure.
The nursing staff and theatre staff were reassuring at all times and their care was wonderful, nothing was too much trouble for them they took the time to make sure I understood everything.
Physio therapists reassured me and assisted me with my first steps after the operation and explained and demonstrated fully all the exercise and rehabilitation procedures for me to follow post op.
The food prepared on site by their chefs was excellent.
The hygiene and cleanliness procedures followed by The Foscote Hospital is evident
On discharge from hospital the physio therapist saw me to the car and made sure I knew how to get in and exit the car.
Five days after my discharge I had a telephone call from one of the nurses at the Foscote checking on my progress.
No one wants to be in hospital of course but if necessary The Foscote hospital is the place to be I can thoroughly recommend the Foscote without any hesitation.
