I attended the Pain clinic for chronic pain with osteoarthritus, I had a lengthily conversation regarding my pain and my abilities for daily living.
This was not a 10min get out quick consultation, but quite an in depth look at my pain.
I was then asked if I would like to attend 'A pain Education Session' and was given a pain management Tool Kit to take away.
My husband and I duly turned up for a 2 hour 'pain education session' waste of time?? No way !!! this was extremely interesting and informative, during coffee time we met others some a lot worse off than me, of course compared notes as well, then back for final session.
My husband and I both came away extremely impressed and with more tools in our tool kit to fight my pain and his as well!!
As we get older this happens.
If you are ever asked to attend this pain clinic, take a chance my quality of life has improved, my pain has not gone, but we are learning to manage it.
Thank you.
