Following 3 hours of waiting, had to discharge ourselves as we had no answer from staff having been admitted from A&E. Staff had no sense of urgency and severe lack of communication between doctors and nurses, but also between day and night shift staff. What's more disappointing is that the patient (my partner) possibly needed surgery, but there was no sense of urgency by the staff (particular in the Emergency Surgery Assessment Unit) to find out what was going on and when we would know what was going on. Will not be coming back to this hospital.
