"Probably the best hospital in the UK"

I am very pleased with the great level of care and consideration shown by everyone who I came into contact with when I had part of my lung removed here during a 2 night stay in August 2015.

From the housekeepers through to the surgeon, everyone had a positive attitude which was what I needed due to the worry of having lung cancer. This hospital has a marvelous team spirit with carefully chosen staff who really are here because they enjoy their work and caring for people.This hospital is extremely well run, pleasant to stay in and where I was treated as a human being rather than a number. The wards are clean and pleasantly quiet and the food is plentiful and better than I am used to at home. The nurses are lovely and knowledgeable and noticeably good communicators.If there was a hospital that you would describe as perfect then Papworth Hospital deserves this credit. Thank you everyone for your help in making my hospital stay a very pleasant one.
