"Full hip operation april 2013"

About: Leighton Hospital

I love mountain walking but was unable to walk more than half a mile without tablets to keep pain off.New hip installed ,under local,no problem, out in three days thanks to everyone on the ward and all involved in the operation .The surgeon kept me informed during the op.though it was strange to hear about where they go shopping.I took all the advice about exercise and not taking any risks .Iwalked a mile a couple of weeks later and did a lake district mountain in the September .We are doing a walking holiday in Cuba in Feb next year with a 2000m climb .Thanks to all of you for getting my life back on track .
