I was admitted with severe abdominal pain through A&E, admitted to ward 18, taken to theatre to have my gallbladder removed and then had my post op recovery in ward 16.
I cannot praise the staff enough. Every one of them from the domestics, porters, nursing and medical staff, including anaesthetist staff in theatre were excellent.
My named nurse Donna in ward 18 was rushed off her feet the whole time I was in, but nothing was too much trouble for her and she remained caring and professional at all times.
My named nurse Demi in ward 16 is also a credit to the NHS. Again she was rushed off her feet, and actually stayed well after her finish time to ensure that all her patients had been taken care of and our notes were up to date and comprehensive.
NHS Lanarkshire your staff are an absolute credit to you with the commitment and care that they show all patients.
Thank you for making something that could have been very traumatic so person centred and caring.
