My 74 year old father had to be rushed into hospital recently. He had a operation 3 weeks ago for bladder cancer and took ill on the Sunday night. my mother who is nearly 80 went to the hospital with us, she is not in good health herself and needs help to get about.
My father was put in a wheelchair while waiting to be seen but also needs help to get up. A paramedic came over to tell me to go in the waiting area as there was to many of us, it was not busy and there was plenty of room. I really didn't want to leave them but had no choice. my husband came to the hospital and we popped into the area where dad was to see what was happening.
The paramedic was straight back over telling us to get out again. I have worked for the trust myself for the last 11 years I have never known such a rude person especially when you are going through something like I did on that Sunday. I cannot fault the nurses and Doctors on A&E, they were great.
"I was spoken to in a rude manner"
