I visited the new AEC Dep on a Sunday after a rederral from my GP. I have had dealings with the QE for many yeas and unfortunately most have been negative. On this particular visit I was met with quick, polite, patient involved care from all of the staff team I had dealings with, everyone from the receptionist, health care assistant, nurse, registrar and consultant (who even arranged for extra parking to be put onto my car as it was due to run out). I was processed, x-rayed, bloods taken and results back, along with numerous other tests, diagnosed and was on my way within 3.5 hours. I even had a call the next morning from one on the AEC nurses to check I was ok. What a turnaround from care I have unfortunately received from this hospital in the past. Well done QE and Thankyou especially to the staff on the AEC unit.

After reading your posting about a recent experience in our Ambulatory Emergency Care (AEC) Department I was very pleased to hear that you have witnessed an improvement in the level of care and attention you received from all our staff which made this experience much improved over previous visits as a patient to our hospital.
