"university hosp shortcomings"

I am reviewing uhc on behalf of my soon to be daughter in law! Dee had her first child there 13 mths ago after being left in slow labour and with little information or interaction for 5 days! When her baby was eventually born both her baby son and herself nearly died through sepsis infection! Since then she has been in the hosp for removal of painful piles and a terrible pain in her left abdomen! There is not enough space here for me to tell the whole sorry story of her treatment, suffice to say, the operation for piles failed and she endured weeks of torturous pain ! When she collapsed at the hosp with pain in her side she was told by the doctor she needed a ct scan and she would be sent an appointment ! The appointment never arrived and when she called the hosp to check, she was told no request for a scan had ever been made ! She did eventually attend an appointment only to be asked why she was there ! They had lost her notes !!

Recently Dee sat in a n e fior over 6 hrs with a suspected miscarriage only to be sent home and basically told she cudnt be scanned and to go home and get on with it ! I cannot find the words to fully express my horror at the treatment received, or rather didnt receive at this dreadful hosp ! I sincerely hooe no-one else is subjected to such awful treatment but I doubt it very much !
