My father was referred to the eye clinic on the 20th May 2015 by his GP for an 'urgent' appointment .
His first appointment was should have been on the 20/06/15. This was cancelled on the morning of the appointment as the consultant was taken sick. A revised appointment was later given for the 13/08/15. The appointment was supposed to be at 6pm. It was cancelled by telephone at 4.15pm that day as the consultant 'didn't want to work late'. I just hope that he never needs an urgent appointment. So 11 weeks later and my father is still waiting.
