This is some feedback that was recieved from one of the patients within The Male Personality Disorder Directorate at Rampton Hospital (Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust) following a recent Recovery focused music event during which "Big Wayne's Blue's Band Experience" came to play for the patients and staff.
"I am writing to express my thanks to you, Kath Alder, Jacqui Vincent, Mark Johnson, the band "Blue's Experience and the Rosewood Involvement Centre Team. I am also very grateful for the lovely food, which was welcoming and hot, tasty and delightful! -it was different to eat with the other lads from the Directorate and informally so thank you.
Personally and environmentally times are difficult, difficult because of the hard work in therapy, coping with new thoughts, feelings, emotions and adapting my behaviours too. The Band, music, people and food have really helped!
Its been a delight to hear, see, feel and "to be" all the music! it feels like a piece of normal has come back.
I hope you, Mr Phipps, Ms Annett Magore and all the Chiltern staff will accept my heart full of thanks for making life better today. Especially for going the extra mile to make a spectacular success in the face of difficult staffing issues, budget cuts and improvements, and on the most difficult day of the week for so many of us (Sunday). I am proud to say I felt happy and content in all genuine ways without the masks today. Thank you".
