I had my breast reduction at Salisbury Hospital this year and wanted to leave a review just to let everyone know the experience I had.
First of all, I could never have wished for a better surgeon. Not only did the surgeon do a fantastic job, they were also extremely caring and helpful throughout the whole process.
Before my op I looked at several forums which showed before and after pictures, just so I could prepare myself. I was slightly worried as the pictures I had seen were extremely bruised and looked extremely painful. When I woke up I had no visable bruising and I was not in any pain at all. I was so surprised at how well I looked when I first had a chance to look! I sort of expected to look like Frankenstein when I woke up but they looked brilliant.
It's now 5 weeks after my op and my scars are already fading!
The nurses on the Lavastock ward were fantastic! They were all so caring and helpful, which made me feel very welcome. They were lovely and done everything they possibly could to make me as comfortable as possible. They really do make a difference to your stay!
I just wanted to leave this review as I know how daunting it can be, but the staff on the Lavastock ward really do a fantastic job.
I will never be able to thank the surgeon enough for what they have done!!
