"Cancer surgery - Bexley wing"

About: St James's University Hospital

Just recovering after surgery for ovarian cancer performed in the Bexley wing. I found the consultant, doctors, nursing and domestic staff to be excellent. The ward was very clean and the cleaning staff came round regularly and did a good job. I was particularly concerned about the food before going into hospital after hearing media reports of how bad it could be, however I found the food to be good. There was a lot of choice, it was nourishing and appetising, and the catering staff were very helpful.
