"my visit to A&E at btuh"

About: Basildon University Hospital

I arrived at a & e at 10 am , I had a fall and hurt my back, was seen by triage about 11.30 then had to wait for Dr. The doctor turned up and was seen around 12.45 and was told I would need an x-ray waited another 2hrs before I was given an x-ray form for spine/chest. X-ray decided just a chest scan would do. Sat and waited another 1.5hrs Dr came and said I needed my spine done so went back to x-ray and waited.... Just bruised thankfully left at 18.30 and to top it all I had to pay £6 for the privilege of parking....what a great day out. PS clinical decision unit did provide tea and a sandwich for which I was very thankful pps thank you

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your treatment within the emergency department / CDU. I will ensure this is shared with the staff concerned.

We wish you a speedy recovery from your fall.
