"Concerned by my Dad's care"

Posted for my mum. She said:

Arrived at hospital to find my husband in a blood soaked gown, when I asked a nurse for a fresh they don't have any!

I'm so worried about his hydration, is he getting enough fluid? yesterday he was nil my mouth and his confusion might be the anaesthetic.

He is in Ysbyty Genedd at Bangor in Conwy ward. I have taken a bottle flavoured milk each time I have gone. He has two bottles of Fanta and I give him water while I am there. He is supposed to have had two jugs today and yet he hasn't had a wee?

His leg was on a stool and he wasn't comfy and kept putting it down so the OT that I was speaking to lowered it and put a cushion on it. A man from another dept. found a gown so the OT and I was changing him, there was blood from his leg on the pillow, so went to find a nurse she looked at his bandage no he isn't bleeding, what's that on the pillow then? Runs her hand round the back of bandage, oh yes he is.

I was amazed to hear they had no gowns on a surgical ward.
