What I liked

Excellent prompt care from Clinical assessment Unit Team

What could be improved

Great new single room facilities but doesnt appear to be enough staff to man them.

they are doing their best in the circumstances.

On admission people may benefit from an information pack in their rooms/bed to explain visiting times, meal arrangements, flowers or no flowers etc. etc.

Thank you for your comments which have been forwarded to the management team. responsible for CAU.

We are pleased that you felt that you had prompt care which is what we aim to provide on an assessment unit.

We acknowledge that the layout of CAU may have looked as if no one was about at times as it was a large area with individual sections.

There are information folders on each bedside now on the new Emergency Assessment Unit (which replaces the original CAU) and the patient experience lead for EAU will ensure that the folder provides up to date information.
