My dad david was admitted to the Clinical decision Unit following a visit by the consultant. He was fantastic. He was professional, efficient & a cerdit to the nursing profession. Following his recommendation my dad was admitted to CDU. The reception on walking onto the unit was one of a warm welcome. The nurses & Doctor that looked after my dad was swift, competent & excelled at there job. Giving excellent patient care involving both patient & relatives of what was happening & informing all parties of what was to follow. The unit was well run,tidy & very busy but with a calm atmosphere.After a period of time following treatment my dad was transfered to MAU. All the staff that we met were up beat & exstremley professional well they worked in a very busy & demanding enviornment. All staff from sister, nurses, HCA's & domestic were outstanding.Following another period of time my dad was tranferred to Harrowden A. Again another very busy medical ward were the pressures on staff a huge. The manner of all the staff we had contact with was again cheery, professional & caring.When phoning the ward for a update on my dads progress each day the response was alway pleasant & professional. The bays were crowded with 6 beds in a bay up I know that is changing to 3? in a bay with an on suite bathroom. The recieving of information about my dads condition was clear & all question I asked answered fully.

What could be improved

It goes with saying not matter what trust you go to more nursing staff would be nice.

more space in the bays(I know this is begin addressed)

KGH is a fantastic Trust with a community spirit . I would'nt want any of my family & friends to be treated anywhere else.
