I was out with my Mum and Dad when we had to call an ambulance out for my Dad. He has severe back problems and had recently been in hospital so this was the first time we had all gone out together. After a while my Dad became tired and complained of his back aching so we sat him on a wall where he would be comfortable and able to rest. My Mum and I went to a shop nearby and when we got back my Dad was leaning against a lamp post close to where we had left him and almost passing out with the pain.
I called 999 as I was very concerned – a quick response paramedic team came almost immediately and were absolutely brilliant. They gave my Dad a thorough check up, laughed and joked with him to raise his spirits, and reassured us all. They thought it best to get my Dad home and took him in their responder vehicle.
Really grateful for all they did – thank you.
